The vertical axis relates to both a diving down into our depths ( shadow / unconscious ), grounding ourselves & up into our transcendent higher consciousness: cultivating an intimacy & connection to Self - God / Self - Cosmos. Being / Yin / Divine Feminine energetics . 

The horizontal axis relates to our connection to & integration with the living world, our body temple, lived experience & relationship with other & nature: meaning & purpose on one end of the axis and service & personal wellness on the other. Doing / Yang / Divine Masculine energetics. 

The circle represents Unity Consciousness. Inter-connectedness & intra-being with all life. Flow, stillness, dynamism & the eternal cycle of life: birth, death & renewal as related to our journey of self-actualisation & transcendence . 

The 4 chambers relate specifically to body, mind, heart & soul and the 4 virtues of the heart as related in Buddhism: love & kindness; compassion; joy & equanimity. 

It can also be seen as a butterfly, symbolising the processes of growth & freedom.
